Often, the immediate circumstances will dictate the survival priorities, but generally, the order is water, fire, shelter, and food.  This generic list of survival priorities is based on ‘The Rule of Three’s’.  Generally speaking, one can survive, depending upon conditions, three months without food, three days without water, three hours without shelter, and three minutes without air.  Obviously, in mild weather shelter may not be an immediate concern, but in extreme conditions (such as a blizzard) shelter will take a number one priority.  The ‘Rule of Three’s’ is a good rule to go by in determining your unique survival priorities in whatever circumstance you find yourself in.

Use your brain when determining your survival priorities, combine that with a good foundation of survival skills, and you will not only survive, you will thrive!
